How to make a toilet paper roll heart stamp
Before starting the moulding you could paint the toilet paper roll any color you want to hide the original brown. This is entirely optional, and the stamped patterns will turn out great regardless of whether you do this step or not. Sometimes it’s fun to make your stamp a little more decorative!
Step 1:
Place the ruler inside the toilet paper roll with two ends sticking out. Press it along an edge and create a straight fold along the toilet paper roll surface, with the ruler in between the fold. For better results try pressing with heavy objects on the outside surface. This should create a leaf-like shape.
Step 2:
Using the same method as in step 1, create another fold but in the opposite side and with the corner pointing towards the inside of the toilet paper roll. This time the ruler should be placed outside the roll instead of the inside.
Step 3:
For a sturdier shape, hold the folded toilet paper roll tightly pressed between the palms of your hands for a minute or two. Keep it pressed for a short time if you want a fluffy heart shape and for a longer time if you want a thinner heart shape.
Now you have a single toilet paper roll heart stamp! Dip the edges in paint and stamp away to create the cutest patterns! Try using different colors to give it a gradient effect.
This is already adorable and would be fun to decorate with. You could also go an extra mile to give the stamps a unique effect. To do that just create two stamps using the same process and staple the bottom sides together. This will create two attached heart stamps that will produce amazing patterns! You could also try doing this with 3 or more stamps to suit your choice.
Don’t be afraid to get creative with the stamps!
