The Many Uses of Beads
Tuesday, September 2, 2008 17:22Crafting with Kids can be a ton of fun, it’s just a matter of finding a craft they would be interested in. Since children seem to be drawn to bright and shiny objects to work or play with, beads make a great crafting tool!
Beads can be used for decorating homemade greeting cards, book marks, or other scrap books pages or they could be used to make jewelry such as bracelets, necklaces and anklets. In addition they are easily glued to picture frames, candle holders, and mirrors.
Beading allows for self expression of your child through the design that they create. The harmony in the design of the beads adds beauty and charm to the jewelry made out of them. Apart from that, it also makes children learn how to choose from the variety of designs available. Glass beads, seed beads, wooden beads etc are some of the types of beads that are readily available in just about any craft store.
