I was one of those people who thought of Sudoku as one of those “boring” games that in playing one, it would just be a waste of your precious time but boy, was I wrong. The truth is this game has already hooked me up. Since this brain teaser has left me occupied and now has become my hobby, I would like to share with everyone else these helpful sudoku hints that people may use in their quest to become that seasoned Sudoku player.

Everyone needs to expand their brain by frequently solving educational games and puzzles such as Sudoku. When you can complete one of these games you are helping to keep your mind fresh and stimulated. Before getting into the nitty gritty details of solving Sudoku, it is best to first explain what the game is about. The name Sudoku refers to the phrase “the digits must remain single.” This mind expanding game needs the user to think logically in order to be successful in solving the puzzle.

This game is a puzzle that involves a series of grids, in which the overall 9×9 grid is made up of nine smaller 3×3 grids. The goal of the game is to place the numbers from 1 to 9 in each grid. The rules for Sudoku are as follows:

1.Each single number should appear only once in every row or column. 2.Each single number should be allocated only once in every row or column. 3.No repetition of number in a 3 X 3 grid.

One of the Sudoku Hints: The game does not involve adding the numbers or searching the sums of the rows, columns or regions of the grid. This involves a mere number game therefore addition of numbers is not required. In this day and age wherein there is already the presence of a lot computer, internet, TV and other media sources, it would really be a brain refresh if you will be able to solve a game as simple as Sudoku. This may be considered as a pastime that is low in technology but you may be able to find one which is free in newspapers or in books that are filled with a lot of puzzles.

The game Sudoku is played in almost all places in these days. Sudoko games which have to be played through electronic equipments like computers, Smart phones etc. are already available. Not only hundreds of varieties, but about thousands of games are now available for playing. Sudoku Hints are searchable over internet or through many books and just for two games the details are provided below:

1. Begin with what is obvious
The simplest of all the Sudoku Hints is the one that may be used to give a solution to several numbers of Sudoku puzzles and that is by simple elimination of options. With this hint, it simply involves going through the puzzle and cross referencing the numbers with the ones that are already placed in the grid, you will be able to search for what number may be placed in a given row, column or region.

This simple hint may be utilized with a lot of puzzles regardless of how simple or complex it may be. It would be by deducing a great deal of numbers if not all of them. Recall that once a number has been allocated, then you may already scan and see if there would be other deductions that you may conclude and usually there would be one.

2. Marking with your Pencil Sudoku can be a very challenging game, particularly since most of the time, you are trying to keep long chains of number possibilities in your head. Consider writing the possibilities in very small pencilled handwriting in the corners of each cell. As you progress throughout your game, you can cross off those pencilled possibilities rather than trying to keep juggling them in your head.
