But after attaining adulthood those very things are either forgotten or simply ignored for newer fashionable things. Many of us will even admit that we still enjoy looking at them. One of them is comic books. How can anyone resist the pull of Spider man, Iron Man or the Hulk, the Fantastic Four, Captain America and others? We all love reading the comics from our childhood. You can’t and that is why many people still enjoy these books.
Martin Goodman started this company years ago and it was called Timely Publications at that time. It was then purchase by Walt Disney in 2009.
The comic book company reached its cult status thanks to the love shown by the generation of readers to its characters. However, it is very important to remember the individuals that worked on them and helped write the story lines that the characters followed. Some of the notable names among the creators include Stan Lee, Jack Kirby, and Steve Ditko.
The first hero that the company made was the Human Torch and many people probably remember him. He was a great success and people really enjoyed it.Then Captain America came along. He was also a great hit and he circulated like wild fire.
Over the years many new characters were created with excellent storyline under the deft leadership of the editors. The advertising teams and other creative individuals that worked on these comic books all had a role in the success.
Take some time to think about just how successful many of these characters actually were and how they have continued to make their mark on society. Spiderman, Wolverine, Hulk, Blade, Elektra, and Iron Man are some of the popular characters that were converted to hit movies.
Headquartered in New York, Marvel comics extend to other media like, television, theme park and video games. For most of its life, DC comics remained its main rival. The major blow received by Marvel was in 1992 when seven of its prized artists left Marvel together to form the successful Image Comics. But, they continue to please their fans and make their characters come to life so that people can enjoy them for years to come.
